Real Player 14.0.5.660 App-V

Virtualizing Real Player 14.0.5.660 so it is not your default player,Google Toolbar not included,  nor will it check for updates.

Extracting the content from the EXE shows the following:  RealPlayer.exe; GOOGLE_TOOLBAR folder with installer and other bits; ui_data folder which has your install configuration files, .dll’s, certs and your .ini files.

Ran through Sequencer.  First installer splash screen gives you options for Cancel, Accept, and Options. I chose Options.  Unchecked the “Add desktop shortcut”, unchecked “Enable browser download button”, and unchecked “Use RealPlayer to automatically open…”.  Chose the Change Location button, and pointed the installer to the Q:\REALPL.

Choose Accept once you have made your changes.  Next Splash Screen is for the Google Chrome install with your RealPlayer Install.  I chose not to install Chrome and not to make it my default browswer.

Installer takes about a minute to complete and then it will prompt you to upgrade to RealPlayer Plus.  I chose No Thanks.

Launch RealPlayer while still Sequencing and go to Preferences and choose AutoUpdate.  Unchecked teh Automatically download and install important updates.  Also chose No to the Improvement Program.

From here I finished Sequencing and  pushed to a test machine through SCCM 2007.  Working like a charm.
